Members across the CEIRR Network attended the American Society for Virology (ASV) Annual Meeting 2024 held in Columbus, Ohio from June 24th-28th, 2024. The ASV2024 meeting brought together over 2,000 attendees to share their research, network, and learn about all aspects of virology. CEIRR researchers presented their work on influenza and SARS-CoV-2 in four satellite symposia, 30 workshop talks, and 39 posters throughout the meeting!

The CEIRR Influenza Data Processing and Communication Center (iDPCC) attended ASV2024 via the vendor show. The iDPCC’s Scientific Communications Lead, Dylan McClung, Ph.D., represented the Network to share a variety of outreach materials about the CEIRR Pilot Research Program, CEIRR Reagents and Ferret Reagents, and the new NIAID Flu Hub website. Also available were stickers, pins, and topic cards for CEIRR, Flu Hub, and the NIAID CIVICs Network. Throughout the meeting, over 100 ASV attendees came to the CEIRR iDPCC booth to learn about the program, and 880 outreach materials were distributed!

The iDPCC enjoyed sharing the CEIRR Network’s accomplishments and capabilities at ASV2024 this year, and we look forward to attending again next year!
